Welcome on the 1st FLIP Rubik Open 2012 webpage.

FLIP, Festival Ludique International de Parthenay, welcomes us for the first time in its city in the 27th edition of its games festival.

The main particularity of this 1st FLIP Rubik Open is that it will be held outside on the main place of the city. The festival only opens daily at 2pm, the saturday events will go till roughly 10pm. Sunday events will start at around 10am so to have good silent conditions for the blind events before festival opens to public at 2pm for its last day on 15th july.

In case of bad weather, the "palais des congrés" will be the place to play the cube on its first floor reception area

FLIP organisation offers free nights in schools bedrooms in the city, interested competitors must request me their reservation. Number of beds are limited. First requesters will be served firsts till we reach the limit, soon announced by FLIP organisation, but for sure not for all 100 competitors.

Registration must be done on WCA dedicated page (soon), max 100 competitors so to be able to play in good conditions.

It is an official WCA competition, official WCA regulations will be applied. All competitors are requested to read these regulations. Results will be registered into WCA database.

Official sponsor is Winning Moves France.

Other partner : SEVEN TOWNS.

Technical organisation is held by Jean-Louis et Sylviane Mathieu. they can be contacted if needed.

WCA delegate is Jean-Louis Mathieu. All competitors will be asked to help the organisation during the 2 days. A role planning for judges/scramblers/runners/main judge will be established a few days before the competition so anyone will perfectly know what his role is in all events/groups. Any desagreement with this rule may lead the competitor to be disqualified from this competition. This rule is fully integrated into the WCA regulations.
